Accident or murder : Sridevi’s death a big Enigma
DGP Rishiraj Singh, in a recent column for the newspaper Kerala Kaumudi, wrote that his forensics expert friend thinks that Sridevi’s death ‘might not have been due to accidental drowning’.
Legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi had passed away in 2018 in Dubai where she had gone to attend a family wedding. Her death had left everyone sad and shocked at the same time when the news of sudden demise of Sridevi had come out.
There was circumstantial evidence at the scene, singh wrote in his column. He wrote, “My friend and the late forensic expert Dr Umadathan had told me long back that Sridevi’s death might have been a murder and not an accidental death. This he told me when I asked him about Sridevi’s death, out of curiosity”. He also pointed out certain facts to back his claims. According to him, a person will never drown in one-foot deep water, however much he drinks. He will drown only if somebody holds his both legs and sinks his head into the water.
Although Sridevi’s death was confirmed by UAE authorities to be due to an accidental drowning, after a post-mortem procedure that delayed the return of her mortal remains to India. This delay had also fuelled conspiracy theories then.
Sri’s husband bony Kapoor slams Singh’s theory and considered this as a myth and illogical false story to misguide public about sri’s death.
